Hi Everyone- (1/23/12)

 6th Grade:  This week we are starting our book, Covering and Surrounding.  This first Investigation focuses on area and perimeter of rectangular shapes.  We will be looking for patterns in these rectangles, writing the formulas for area and perimeter.  Then we will look at patterns for keeping the area constant and perimeter changing and vice versa.  Students will see patterns in the types of rectangles that have maximum and minimum area and perimeter.
